To create an online Clothing & Accessories site which lists offers from leading brands and retailers in one place. I will be sharing 75% of the first year income with people who will help me kick start this project

About the project

I am planning to create an online offers portal for clothes and accessories from leading brands and retailers. The site would pull items on sale from various sites and list them in one place. 

The success of this project will depend on how much people will start using this site. It’s like a comparison website for clothes and accessories. I would not stock anything, but just pointing towards the item on sale. But this earns a commission. Commission is small but consider these numbers…

• UK shoppers splashed out £9.3bn during June
• Retail Sales Index reveal that online sales in the UK exceeded £100bn for the first time in 2014
• The average British woman spends more than £500,000 on fashion over a lifetime
• On average each person spends around £120 on clothes and accessories each month
• Some leading online shops gets more than 500,000 hits a month

By getting about 50,000 hits and using very conservative conversion rates, the website could earn up-to £5000 a month. As you can see from the prediction model, if the visitors increase month on month from launch, then after 12 months we could earn over £38000.

What’s the money for

Money will be used to design and create a website. Any spare cash will be used to advertise and promote the website in Facebook, Twitter and google. Me and my partner will be putting few hours a day and will not take any salary.

The reason why this website cost more than normal websites and cannot be created using one of the many free online website creating tools;

• Website should have a built in database
• Website should have filters for users to filter what they are looking for. ex. dress colour, type of coat etc
• Register a suitable website address and to create a brand
• Software programs to fetch data feeds from various retailers and manipulate in order to list the items in our website

What have I done so far

I have been putting this project plan together for the last 12 months and done a lot of background research. 

• Created a dummy website to show case the contents to the online shops and leading brands to convince them to allow me to publish thier products
• Already signed up leading brands/retailers to list products from,

  • Boohoo
  • Missguided
  • ASOS
  • Footasylum
  • Topshop
  • John Lewis
• Retailers and brands signed so far – 25
• Website design layout
• Social media marketing plan

Important read

I have done lot of research on this affiliate marketing model for the last year a so and very passionate about getting this going and to make it a success. For most of the people who are willing to fund, £300 return on their £50 investment might not be much, but you are not only getting a small return but also getting me start something from nothing. This could be a life changer for me and my family.

I can’t guarantee you that this is going to be successful as internet is a funny place as a crazy video sometimes gets millions of hits in few days while something very useful doesn’t even show up on first 100 pages of google search.

But one thing I can guarantee is that I will put everything I have got so this will have every chance of achieving my first year goal.
