An urban fiction film set in Manchester

There's some really powerful content planned for Lattice Cobweb Tunnel Spiral. It's not your average movie. Through the production of a new UK feature film, I'm hoping to open eyes and shift perspectives. The film will cover many topics including:
Social conditioning, social responsibility, religion, the media, social ecology, spirituality and science.
I've seen so many educational and inspiring documentaries! Sadly none would appeal to the younger generation. That's where I hope Lattice Cobweb Tunnel Spiral can change things.
The film follows 3 young adults who live in the city and watches as they move out to the countryside - many things in their lives change as do their priorities and outlook. There's a lot of humour in this film, which balances well with some very serious underlying messages. It shows how resourceful conscious people can be in times of adversity.
My name is Alessandro, born and raised in Manchester, UK. At 19 years old - I found myself homeless. It took two hard (and sometimes extremely cold) years - to finally get a small apartment, settle down and re-build my life. Living on the streets is tough.
The script for LCTS is based to a large extent, on real events and my past experiences. I have since built a small business (started in a hostel, what seems like a long time ago now). As much as I tried, no one would employ me at the time. 'NFA' doesn't sit well on a CV...
During my time on the streets, a number of charities reached out and helped me to get back on track. This is why I would like to involve certain organisations in the production of this film.
I'd like to give youths, and young adults the chance to gain invaluable experience by working with me, and my production crew on set as extras and supporting actors – and to make everyone involved, proud to be a part of something creative, something special, something fun.
This film is an urban fiction, a gritty story about three individuals who live in the city. There's a lot of drama, comedy and interesting content and I now have the chance to promote certain charities and their cause – some of which helped me with temporary hostel accommodation, or even a much needed warm beverage and food at a time when I really, really appreciated it.
I can finally give something back to the people who helped me, and ensure they can continue to help the people who so desperately depend on them today. I was lucky, although many people I knew - were not.
Initially I wanted to make a short film, however - there's far too much I need to cover and so a feature film seemed like the best solution. I run a small, creative video production company so I'm lucky to have the skills, and most of the equipment needed to complete the production. This is going to be a challenge to produce however, my heart and soul will be sunk into the project along with all of my training, my team, knowledge and resources.
Any monies raised will go towards some new specialised film-making equipment, and will help pay for expenses of the actors and extras.
My involvement in the media industry started in the 1990′s when I was fortunate enough to work with TV crews in the filming and editing of news broadcasts and sports coverage. This enabled me to gain experience with camera and sound recording equipment and also be active in the editing of pre-recorded and live video footage.
After a few years out - I formed my own company and started to learn how to make websites - and lately I've been doing a lot of camera work - filming conferences, sports events, instructional videos and making videos for websites.
Filming will be completed over the coming months and editing / post production completed by early 2015.
Official website coming soon, until then - take a look at the Facebook page for more information and we will be posting regular updates!
