To fund start up costs so I can get my unique therapy and coaching business up and running

Hi There!

Thanks for taking the time to read about my project which is starting up my own unique therapy business. Second only to I.T. the wellness industry is the largest in the world and I have a unique list of qualifications in highly effective therapies within it.

This is why I need your help:

What I would like to do is raise the money for the start up equipment, accreditation, insurance and the rent I will need upfront for a therapy room. The services I will be offering are:

 Thai therapeutic massage – a powerful massage treatment that has been practiced for centuries

 Nerve touch therapy massage - an advanced form of Thai massage

 Thai oil massage

 Thai herbal compress massage

 Thai herbal facials

 Thai foot massage

 Tok sen - a 2500 year old technique passed down through generations in a specific area of Thailand. It's a highly effective form of massage using sound and vibration to relax the client

 Chi nei tsang - an ancient Taoist abdominal massage that is fantastic for deep relaxation, detoxification and the release of pent up emotions

 Wellness coaching - this is where I will take my training in non-medical nutritional advice and combine it with life coaching skills to help my client take control not only of their life but their health, stress management, careers, fitness, relationships, everything!

 Reiki -I will be offering Reiki as a standalone treatment and in conjunction with other therapies. When I trained I specialised in teaching Reiki to children which I can't wait to put into practice with children with special needs as they will find it particularly beneficial. 

I will be open to all however I will be specialising in treating anxiety related disorders and will be running special workshops and donating my time to local charities and will have no or reduced rates for those in financial hardship. The massage therapies I offer, along with reiki, are fantastic in helping ease the symptoms of anxiety and depression and I want to put them to good use to really help people. This is not just a job to me, it's a vocation, it's something I have experienced and seen good results from, and I want to share it.

About me

I am a single mother of two wonderful children. At the moment, I am on benefits and desperately trying to work. For years I was hindered by lack of skills and childcare but now I have worked so hard and I have a wonderful opportunity to lift us out of poverty. The jobcentre have been giving me the run around for months. It's so frustrating as I am very qualified in an untapped corner of the market. I am good at what I do, I love what I do but I just need some help in getting things off the ground. There has been a lot of interest in my services but I have no equipment or venue from which to provide them.

On my current limited income it is not possible for me to self fund and with all the cutbacks and everyone having to tighten their purse strings, I can't raise the money solely through family and friends, hence deciding to turn to crowdfunder. Hopefully I will get the bit of help I need to be able to get my services out there and help people. 

In return for your help I am offering gift vouchers for wellness coaching in person or via Skype and therapy treatments, the latter if you are local to me/can travel, or maybe you could gift a treatment to a special relative or friend who can visit me instead!
