On the 3rd December 2021 we'd raised £5,640 with 34 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Extra funds will be invested into future projects and on-going costs...
As the only Clubmark accredited Cricket Club on the Isle of Sheppey. This is a quality system within sport to make sure that best practice is always followed. That ALL adults that work with young people are DBS checked and First-Aid trained. In addition, they will be suitably trained or hold a relevant Coaching qualification. The club now has over 100 youth members over all age groups. U16, U14, U12, U10 & U8. The club's Trustees and Executive Committee are proud to support our constitution and on-going development ethos of recruiting, retaining and nurturing our future stars... Our youth members not only play at their age group, as they mature, they will represent the club at adult level, playing league cricket at the weekends. As our 1st XI were promoted to the Premier Division of The Kent Cricket League in 2021. (The highest standard of cricket you can play in Kent!) Our youth members can aspire to play at this amazing level. Over 75% of our current adult membership have come through our youth development program. The Trustees have also allocated funds and obtained several grants to maintain, improve and promote our amazing facilities at our Gilbert Hall ground. In the last few years, we have purchased a new wicket roller, new sight screens for our main ground and refurbished our old ones for use on our Nursery Ground. New wicket mowers and associated plant. Built a new secure equipment shed to store, protect and look after our equipment. Removed old/rotten trees and fencing, Installed new fencing, planted trees and re-landscaped. Installed new changing rooms for players and umpires. Installed new toilets and disabled/baby change cubicle. As recent as this week, we have extended/renovated our Main Ground and renovated our Nursery Ground. We have repaired our existing ball stop netting to protect our neighbours. As a club, we invest every penny of club funds back into the club to make sure that the facilities, coaching and overall experience for our youth, their parents and all our members, opponents and umpires/scorers is the best that we can offer. This all takes time, effort and money. We have many supporters and sponsors that donate their time, expertise and services. However, there are certain things you need funds for, from insurance, water, electricity, wi-fi, league and ball costs, equipment, ground materials, fuel, courses etc etc. Any donation, no matter how small would be extremely welcomed! Thanks in advance for your support!
