To bring the outside in with a small pop up shop in Salisbury, specialising in houseplants, beautiful pots and all things botanical.
I have always had a love of nature and being outdoors but with the weather in England like it is, I have begun to bring the outdoors in and have fallen in love with houseplants.
The income would allow me to begin with a small pop up shop in Salisbury selling houseplants and accessories and to share with others, the benefits of having plants and nature in the home. Not only do plants cleanse the air around us, but they can bring life to any room, be it a windowless bathroom or a bright sunny lounge. They instantly lift your mood, decorate a room and have been found to reduce stress and anxiety, so not only great for your home but also within offices.
I personally have found so many benefits from caring for my houseplants and have suffered with anxiety and depression in the past but found a sense of calm when tending to the plants. Owning a plant can also be wonderfully rewarding when you see them growing and getting stronger day by day.
If successful I would love to eventually leave my full time project manager role and set up a permanent shop with in Salisbury selling the houseplants but also giving workshops, making terrariums, building Christmas wreaths, repotting plants and plant health. Of course this will be accompanied by cakes and tea as well with the help from my family in the hope that we can give a little back to the community we live in.
