Putney Town Rowing Club Accessibility Project

The squad fundraising has kicked off with two excellent events. 

Ele and Polly from our Masters Women's Squad undertook a SoberOctober challenge with the aim of raising funds for the accessibility project as well as resetting habits and boosting their long term health (and erg scores). They raised a cool £1000 + giftAid plus an additional donation matching of £250 from Ele's workplace. Thanks @pwc_uk

Our Senior Men's Squad then organised a very successful club Time Trial in which 13 crews from across the squads (twelve fours and one eight) participated in a 5K race and finished the event with drinks and chilli at the bar. 

No photos were taken as mental energies were focused on the perfect preparation of rice but bar takings were good and £100 was raised from food with 50% going to the SM squad and another £50 to the accessibility project 

The next squad fundraiser event planned is a Club Ceilidh night hosted by our Senior Women's Squad on 30th November. Ticket links are in the Talk of the Town WhatsApp and on the members area of the website.
