All funds raised will be put towards ensuring or baking classes continue to provide a welcoming, safe and supportive environment for women in Portsmouth to learn baking skills, boost their confidence and self esteem and to feel part of a community. With your help we can grow the project and reach more women in Portsmouth by starting a second teaching kitchen in the city.
Claire heard about our community baking group ‘Loaves of Love’ through one of our volunteer chefs and to our amazement she has decided that she is going to fundraise for us by collecting sponsorship for running 10 miles in the Great South Run on the 15th October!

What is ‘Loaves of Love’ and what do we do?
We help women asylum seekers and refugees in Portsmouth rebuild their confidence and self-esteem through the medium of baking bread.
What do we need to raise funds for?
As a group of volunteers we rely on fundraising to pay for the running costs of our free to attend baking classes, (we hire a teaching kitchen at Pompey In the Community and we have to buy the ingredients).
