A party celebrating Madz via music. Min £5 donation goes 100% to Tell MAMA to fight anti-Muslim hate & Islamophobia.

ONE OF US is a London club culture celebration of the life of Madz “Madagascar” Saleem, bringing together the friends, DJs, promoters, photographers, creatives and clubbers who knew Madz throughout her years as part of London’s Underground House Music scene.

Madz was much more than a familiar face on the guest list. She worked doors, looked after people, knew promoters and DJs and was part of the community that made London’s underground club culture what it was. She was also a passionate campaigner against racism and Islamophobia, and we wanted this celebration to reflect both sides of her London life.

This is not a formal memorial or religious service. It is a celebration through the thing Madz loved — music, people and the London club community.

There will be no speeches. Instead, the day will be filled with music, photographs, memories and people coming together to celebrate Madz and reconnect with each other.

Entry is by a minimum £5 donation, with 100% of the money raised going directly to Tell MAMA in support of its work tackling anti-Muslim hatred and Islamophobia.
