To build an eco glamping cabin in the vines here at Valley Farm Vineyards -all off grid so people can stay and enjoy the space.
Introduction

Hi - we're Vanessa and Elaine and we are now in our 5th year at Valley Farm Vineyards in Suffolk where we have been busy renovating this lovely 8 acre vineyard so that our wine maker can make fabulous fine wine. What a great time to be involved in a vineyard as the reputation of English wines continues to grow and there is huge interest in what's happening. Since we have been at Valley Farm Vineyards we have seen an increase in both UK visitors as well as those from overseas.
So far...
Valley Farm Vineyards produce award-winning, vintage, single estate, elegant still and sparkling wines. In 2016 we won a gold at the UKVA Competition for our 2015 Madeleine Angevine still white aromatic wine.

Location
The Vineyard nestles in an idyllic part of Suffolk, not far from the coast in the Waveney Valley and we welcome many visitors each week. Suffolk is renowned for its local eclectic food and drink offering, to which Valley Farm Vineyards' wine makes a contribution. Some of our local producers have already committed to contributing to the sumptuous hamper in the ultimate reward - Scarlet and Mustard, The Fresh Sauce Company, The English Whisky Co; Jarcandy
A great idea
We've had an idea as its time now to diversify the business to make it economically sustainable. We've chatted this through with our volunteers, friends and networks AND now think we should go for it. The vintage vines in the Marches vineyard is the perfect spot for an eco glamping cabin; secluded and off grid - it will be a great place to stay, to experience vineyard life and to enjoy this lovely space. So far, we have planning permission and have secured a grant contribution so we've been working hard to take the idea forward.

The plan
The cabin, fondly known as 'The V-Cab' will be situated in the vines. The cabin sleeps two people and four legged friends and tots by arrangement. We will bring water to the site , put in a flushing toilet with septic tank, and incorporate solar panels into the cabin design. The cabin will have a covered porch, bedroom, kitchen, living room and bathroom. There will be parking but not amongst the vines; solar lighting will guide the way and wheelbarrows will take the load. It will be built of wood from a sustainable source and be fully insulated - eco, comfortable and close to nature - should be fab. We are aiming to get 'The V-Cab' up and running for the 2019 season.
Be a part of it
We have tried to be sustainable in our work so far and 'The V-Cab' will be the next step on this journey, about which we are very excited.
The money we raise through crowdfunding can make this happen. The rewards are a reflection of our Vineyard and all that it has to offer. We hope they inspire you too.

Terms and conditions will be on our website.
