6 Green Candidates for 6 Durham Constituencies

For the first time we’ve selected 6 excellent candidates to run in ALL 6 Co. Durham constituencies but they can only stand IF WE CAN RAISE THE DEPOSITS which total £3,000.

In this General Election, there is very little chance that conservatives will be able to form a government and so you can vote with your heart rather than tactically. This year you can vote for the party you want, but to do this Greens need to be on the ballot.

Why is it important to have greens on the ballot paper?

• Just by standing, we force the other candidates to green up as they know we will hold them to account during the campaign – we don’t need to win!
• We know that the Conservatives are driving the Climate and Ecological Emergencies
• We know that Labour have abandoned their flagship environmental policies, and are Tory light
• Only Greens champion tax reform and a Wealth Tax to create the £Billions needed to drive a green economic transition and pay for public services
• We have already exceeded planetary tipping points.  Only Greens support economic policies that will limit growth to within the boundaries set by our home – the Earth.
