In December 2024, one of our members was convicted of aggravated trespass during a 2 day trial at Northampton magistrates court. This alleged crime happened during a meet of the Pychley hunt. We were there on that day like any day, to monitor the hunt’s activities and stop illegal fox hunting. As a result of our action to intervene and save hunted wildlife, our member has been convicted of aggravated trespass.
We have filmed and witnessed the Pytchley Hunt chasing foxes, using violence against our members and breaking the law on many occasions.
Staggeringly, our member was not only found guilty but was also hit with a £1,000 fine, a £400 surcharge and £2,800 in prosecution costs, all in all totalling £4,200.
This is on top of legal defence costs of just over £10,500 that has incurred as a result of this case. If you wish to support our member and our group, please consider kindly donating to our crowdfunder which is aiming to cover these legal defence costs.
We will continue to fight this injustice and expose fox hunts for their illegal and immoral activity and with your donations you can help us do that.
Thank you as always for the support. It is vital that we can cover these defence costs to help us continue our work.
