New stretch target
Any additional funds will be ring-fenced for future improvements to the area around the pavilion next year. We hope to relay the patio and further improve the area around the new dressing rooms and car park.

We did it
On 10th November 2020 we successfully raised £6,590 with 52 supporters in 65 days
To improve our pavilion facilities to ensure they are accessible for winter sports and available for a broader range of community activity.

High Lane Cricket club ...
are a community based cricket club currently offering sports opportunities to all age groups in local area. Our vision is to offer a broader range of sports and open access to our facilities for everyone across our local community.
The story so far ....
With the support of Sport England and the community, we have already invested in improving our Middlewood ground so that sport can be played 365 days a year. As a result, we will welcome High Lane Football Club to share our ground from Sept 2020 and will approach other clubs in the near future, offering more sporting opportunities in High Lane.
Our challenge ...
Our aim was always to ensure the social and changing room facilities at the ground kept pace with these developments and hence commenced ambitious improvements earlier this year. We had already raised 75% of the £20K needed for the first phase of work when the COVID-19 crisis resulted in lockdown. Our planned social events to raise the remainder have been placed on hold and we are left with a real challenge to complete the work.
How can you help?
We need your help to raise the remaining funding to complete the changing rooms and disabled toilets & access. We must complete the work this year to ensure that we can reactivate our sporting community and start raising our own funds again to cover operational costs at our club. We have a stretch target of £6.5K if we are to improveour heating and insulation. A cricket pavilion is not designed for winter use and we need to ensure everyone can enjoy middlewood 365 days a year.
