Eccles Remembrance Community Choir

Aim

The Eccles Remembrance Community Choir aims to bring local choirs, their members and the local community together in unison for Remembrance

The Eccles Remembrance Event Group has organised the Remembrance Sunday parade for the past 8 years on behalf of the city of Salford. There has also been Remembrance concerts involving various local community groups and cadet organisations, bringing them together to perform for the good and the benefit and the enjoyment of our local community and charitable organisations.

With the Honour Choir as lead choir we look to bring together various choirs, of all ages and abilities, from around the Eccles area to rehearse and perform for various Remembrance events through the calendar year including Remembrance Sunday at the cenotaph itself.

This, we feel, will encourage people who may be thinking about joining a choir to actually find a local choir and get involved themselves.

 Seeking this initial funding will allow for room hire, rehearsals, printing/photocopying, performances, and the professional support necessary to develop this project for the foreseeable future.

We hope you will consider supporting us by making a small donation so we may achieve a Remembrance Day performance on Sunday 9th November at Eccles Cenotaph prior to and during the Remembrance Service which will include many members of our Eccles Community Groups.
