Aim
A plaque in Lowdham Church for Sir John de Lowdham knight of the shire & greatgrandson of Eustace de Lowdham notorious Sheriff of Nottingham
Sir John de Lowdham was a prominent knight of the Shire and has a wonderful life size tomb effigy in St Mary’s Church in Lowdham here in Nottinghamshire. We want to create an information plaque and place it in a fine wooden lectern next to his tomb to tell visitors who he is. Also tell of his great grandfather Eustace de Lowdham a notorious Sheriff of Nottingham who is linked to the legend of Robin Hood
