About 2 weeks ago, my 8-year-old daughter who is very honest and maybe in this situation a little too honest. Said Dad you're getting fat!!
So iv decided to do something about it, I'm going to run 13.1 miles in the RunThrough Lee Valley Velopark Half Marathon on the 29th of January 2022.
With the help of Rachel Statter, I have managed to find a worthwhile charity to run for.
Pl84u Al-suffa is a Food Bank Charity based in the Waltham Forest area. This charity like most has been hit hard during the COVID-19 pandemic., however, the staff at Pl84u Al-suffa, still put themself on the front line during the pandemic to make sure the most vulnerable in our society could still access their services if required.
If running what is my first and 100% my last Half Marathon inspires others to take up running or make healthy lifestyle changes and along the way we are able to raise money for charity's, then I could not be happier to be told dad you're getting fat, by my 8-year-old daughter.
