Aim

HERITAGE BENGAL GLOBAL brings the iconic Thames Durga Parade, a famed and sustainable Goddess Durga idol, to Kingston River Festival 2025.

Asian Voice features

Maa Durga in Kingston River Festival and Coronation Celebration

HERITAGE BENGAL GLOBAL is bringing the iconic Thames Durga Parade, famed and Techno India's sustainably crafted Goddess Durga idol for the most glamorous installation at the awe-inspiring 6-month running Kingston-upon-Thames in London River Festival for 4 September 2025, preceded by a month-long display at the Kingston Museum.

We urge the global Bengali community to proudly join in with a pure historic emotion, ready to showcase the UNESCO-listed Intangible Cultural Heritage at the heart of London's riverine festival, set to mark Kingston's royal connections — a celebration of Royal Coronations, the 1100th anniversary of the crowning of the Saxon King Athelstan, a once in a life time opportunity to showcase our cultural heritage.

We are ready to embark on the Thames float carrying the spirit of Maa Durga, and traditional instrumental music symbols led by Delhi-based international cellist Tapan Mullick, who has contributed to the Indian Ocean band. Bringing the flavours of 'shaat samudro tero nodi' to seamlessly blend with Kingston's multi-dimensional water cultures in the magical ambience of Canbury Gardens is certainly ambitious and requires your valuable support.

Given the weather conditions in the UK and considering the safety of the flotilla arrangements, we may have to adjust and adapt to meet flexible conditions on offer.

Please donate to our crowdfunding aimed to raise £2000 to support this unique initiative towards the cost of the river festival installation, stall demonstration, exhibition of artefacts, instrumental music, dance and public talks that will wholeheartedly ignite Kolkata Durga Pujo's attraction for heritage tourism to this vast assembly of distinguished audience in the UK.
