A challenge of endurance rather than speed, we're singing for 24 hours to support our trip to JTF Europe this spring!

 New stretch target

At Rubber Chicken Theatre we firmly believe  that every child should have access to high quality performing arts opportunities regardless of their background or finances and have implemented a policy to ensure that cost is never a barrier to participation. We offer fully flexible payment options including deferments and instalment plans and where asked, we will always reduce fees or even waive them altogether. We also work with schools and other organisations to offer free places where needed across our communities. However, as requests for discounted and free places have increased, so too has the financial pressure on RCT.

“Our goal is to provide a supportive and inclusive environment where children from all walks of life can come together to learn, grow, and shine. By making performing arts accessible to all, we hope to inspire a new generation of young performers and create a brighter future for everyone.”

Your donation will allow us to continue to support anyone who is referred or self-refers to us for our programme of funded places.  Read more at rubberchickentheatre.co.uk/about-us

With no world record to claim back this year, we thought we’d up the ante a little, with a full 24 hours of song, to raise funds to support access to our JTF trip and participation across all of our activities.

For a full 24 hours, we’ll have people performing everything from musical theatre to Scots song, classical, to opera to pop. From our tiniest MT stars through to our alumni and adult contingent beaming in from their various global locations. Solos, duets, choirs and more.  Culminating in everyone left standing performing ‘Seasons of Love’ to finish.

“There are no records to break, but our performing arts family are once again coming together to support a common goal”, said Creative Director, Pamela Mackie.  “24 hours is a long time to fill, but our family of resilient performers are no strangers to a challenge.”

Everyone participating will be given a sponsor sheet to encourage sponsorship for taking part, and everyone singing at any point during the 24 hours will receive a commemorative certificate and wristband. Sponsorship can be submitted in person through our performers, at the event, or via this crowdfunder.

We believe that every child should have access to high-quality performing arts opportunities regardless of their background or finances, and have implemented a policy to ensure that cost is never a barrier.  Supporting this cause will help us continue to provide these opportunities in the future.
