With no world record to claim back (yet) and a shiny new building of our own, we're returning to the madness that was 24 hours of song!
Friday 13th February 7pm - Saturday 14th February 7pm
With no world record to claim back (yet) and a shiny new building of our own, we thought we’d make a return to the madness that was 24 hours of song. A non stop 24 hours of performance, celebration of musical theatre, fund raising and support for each other.
We're very conscious that everyone was incredibly generous as we opened the Cowane, so although we will gladly welcome all donations to support the work we do at Rubber Chicken Theatre, it's not the primary focus of the event.
For a full 24 hours we’ll have people performing everything from musical theatre to Scots song, classical, to opera to pop. From our tiniest MT stars through to our alumni and adult contingent beaming in from all over the world. Solos, duets, choirs and more. Culminating in everyone left standing performing ‘Seasons of Love’ to finish.
We'd love to have an audience to keep us going, and audience are welcome from 6.30pm on Friday (ahead of our start at 7pm) till Midnight, then again on Saturday 6am - 7pm. You are welcome to drop in for specific performances, or stay as long as you like.
Outside of this, the building will only be open to those taking part in the 'sing over' section of the event.
Some of our groups are performing at specific times:
Audience entry to event is free, although there will be donation points around the building if you'd like to support. Our cafe will also be open during the event.
You can stay for as long as you'd like, although if the theatre becomes too busy, we may have to limit entry.
