Ryan Summers is fundraising for
Campaign Against Living Miserably
Charity No. 1110621

£2,724
On August 10th my Dad took his own life, he took his boat out to sea, put his diving weight belt on, and went overboard.
5 weeks later, his body was found in the ocean, For 13+ weeks his body remains in Portuguese police custody and only on November 30th did they confirm it was him.
Losing my dad to suicide is one of the most devastating things I could ever imagine happening to me and my family. The heartbreak and loss we all feel are so painful, no one should experience this.
My goal is to on May 20th2023, push a gym sled, for 24 hours continuously. To help raise money for CALM ( campaign against living miserably )
I will push a total weight of 65 kg as Dad would have been 65 years old on May 15th 2023.
I will be doing it at MYPT the gym and using the 9m track there. (start time yet TBC)
My challenge will be to achieve 3,576 pushes of the sled in 24 hours. To make it 20 miles. The same distance done by the world record 4 man relay team in 24 hours.
This gives me a goal of 149 pushes every hour.
My father and many people going through depression and contemplating suicide, suffer greatly every waking moment, and don't reach out.
I'm planning to suffer for 24 hours in a different way and hope we can raise some real life-changing, life-saving money.

Hey Ryan. It’s been a while since I’ve been in Croydon, but I saw your challenge on insta and I feel the pain of losing my dad too, only 6 months ago. So impressed with your challenge for a great cause! You smashed it! Your dad would be proud of ya! From your old pal mattbrummy
