24 hour hyrox challenge/Katie’s brain tumour fight

Aim

To support local mother Katie Boyle in her fight against glioblastoma.

This incredibly tough event has been put together by Pontefract’s pure gym manager, James Price. Alongside some incredibly committed individuals who will be competing the 24 hour challenge. We ask for support from the community to do drop in sessions and cheer on the team.

Funds raised will go towards supporting a local mother, Katie Boyle (Synnott) who is having ongoing treatment abroad, 100’s of thousands of pounds have been spent in private surgery and immunotherapy plus a monthly protocol of drugs to prolong Katie’s prognosis following a shock diagnosis of glioblastoma (brain cancer) and Katie is currently having a tailored immunotherapy vaccine that comes with extortionate costs, money raised will enable Katie to return back each month to continue the treatment plan. Funds have also supported Ryan, Katie’s husband to stay at home and care for her and the children. We thank each person for reading this, sharing this story and getting behind this challenge 🫶
