Aim: For 20 years Keep Our NHS Public has fought to protect our NHS. Now, the NHS is facing its biggest crisis yet. We need your help to save it.

Our NHS is in crisis – we need to expand and intensify our fight to save it. However, without urgent financial help our ability to campaign is under threat too.

Keep Our NHS Public has been the leading campaign against privatisation and underfunding of the NHS for 20 years.

Since 2005, we’ve had many successes:

  • Saved 10 hospitals from closure
  • Reversed planned cuts (e.g. to children’s mental health services) in some areas
  • Forced changes to migrant charges policy in some local hospitals
  • Held the People’s Covid Inquiry 2021
  • Formed the SOS NHS alliance of over 50 organisations including 18 national unions

We have fought tooth and nail against NHS cuts and privatisation on the streets, in the courts, and in the media. We’ve supported NHS staff in their fight for better pay and conditions, and we’ve opposed Trump’s attempts to keep the NHS ‘on the table’ in trade deals.

But new threats are emerging

  • Over 16,000 people are now dying annually due to delays in urgent care
  • 7 million people are currently stuck on waiting lists
  • GP services, maternity care, mental health support, and dentistry are all in crisis

The last 14 years of austerity, underfunding, and privatisation have done massive damage. But rather than changing course and rebuilding our NHS, the government is instead funnelling billions into private healthcare.

NHS still in danger

The Labour Government has not committed enough funding to end the crisis or give staff the pay needed to keep them in the NHS. Wes Streeting has broken promises, failing to stop NHS workers being outsourced to unsafe, low-paid private sector jobs. The Prime Minister is promising billions to private companies instead of investing in public healthcare. The latest plans to slash regional NHS budgets in half will cause more chaos, job losses and put more patients at risk. The UK is the 6th richest nation in the world. We can afford to invest more in the NHS the country needs – and the evidence is clear: private healthcare delivers worse outcomes.

We must act now

Keep Our NHS Public is intensifying its fight to demand proper NHS funding to deliver safe patient care, end privatisation, and secure a fair deal for NHS workers. We need more protests, events, printed materials, and more press and media. We must act before it's too late.

But we can’t do it alone. Without urgent financial support, our ability to fight back is at risk – just when the NHS needs us most.

We can still save the NHS – but we need your help. Every pound you give strengthens our campaign to protect public healthcare.

Your donation could help pay for:
