Support Jigsaw’s Mission of Fun, Freedom, and Independence for Disabled people in Bury.
Aim
At Jigsaw (Bury), we believe that everyone deserves the chance to live life to the fullest and that’s why we promote fun, freedom and independence for disabled people across the Bury Metropolitan area.
We are a local, member-led charity supporting disabled people, from young adults finding their confidence through sport and social activities, to older people looking for friendship and connection.
Now, we’re looking to grow our network of support and we’re inviting you to be a part of it.
Why Your Support Matters
Jigsaw brings disabled young people together through sport, social activities, and community events. We help them build confidence, stay active, and connect with friends in a safe, inclusive space.
Jigsaw Link is our befriending and social programme for disabled people aged 50 and over. We offer one-to-one befriending, weekly lunch clubs, and active living sessions that bring joy and reduce loneliness.
For many of our members, Jigsaw is a lifeline, sometimes the only regular support or social contact they have.
Together, these projects help reduce isolation, promote wellbeing and create lasting friendships rooted in the local community.
Why We're Fundraising
While our work continues to grow in impact and reach, like many charities, we’re seeing increased demand for our services alongside rising delivery costs. We’re aiming to raise £5,000 in 2026 to strengthen our funding base and continue delivering high-quality programmes that make a real difference in people’s lives.
Your donation will help us:
- Expand our activity sessions and events
- Support transport and accessibility for members
- Cover essential running costs and staff support
- Reach more people across Bury who would benefit from our services
What Your Donation Can Do
- £10 could provide a hot meal and transport for an older member attending our lunch club.
- £25 could fund a place at a sports session for a disabled young person.
- £100 could help cover the cost of venue hire for our weekly social events.
- £500 could help to fund a group leader to run our weekly sports and social sessions.
