2024 Guiseley Cricket Club Fundraising

Why are we doing this?

Guiseley Cricket Club needs to raise an extra £4000 per annum in addition to memberships to keep its cricketing activities across the Junior, Ladies and Men's sections running as well as maintenance of the ground. 

We have invested in modernising our facilities over the past 3 years including new practice nets, machinery and a new digital scoreboard display. This investment has depleted the clubs finances but has supported the increased growth of members over the past 3 years. The recent cost increases has also put pressure of the clubs finances to a point where we need to keep fundraising to make the club viable for the growth in junior and ladies sections to be sustainable. We also want to keep investing in our growing cricket and community activities to create a facility the whole community can use and be proud of.

We are launching a Crowdfunder appeal to our supports for help to achieve this goal of supporting the clubs finances. 

About our club

Guiseley Cricket Club is located 10 miles north of Leeds in West Yorkshire along the A65 main road surrounded by the rolling hills in the lower Wharfedale valley. We are a family oriented club and one of the founder members of the Aire-Wharfe Senior & Junior Cricket League (https://awscl.play-cricket.com). 

We have a long and proud tradition within the Aire-Wharfe senior and junior cricket league being one of the founding members. 

We are a family friendly club with 400  members and over 185 playing members across our senior mens, ladies and junior teams (we have 3 senior, 3 Ladies and 8 junior teams). We also run a Friday fun cricket evening for 5-7 year olds which has 55 places for children to get their first taster of cricket at Guiseley.
