Aim
I'm running a draw to raise money for Mikes Marathon for Glyn in aid of Bowel Cancer UK & also my other love Deeside Dragons Ice Hockey Club
The Prize
This is your chance to enter a draw for a unique piece of Shrewsbury Town memorabilia.
We are raffling off a squad signed 2020/2021 Shrewsbury Town shirt.
The Cause
All funds raised will be split equally between Mike Price who is running the London Marathon in memory of his much missed brother Glyn in aid of Bowel Cancer UK. Glyn is missed so much by the whole Salop community. I certainly miss him everyday especially on Twitter, where his Stats, Club Updates and occasional Word On The Street brought much discussion and a lot hilarity and smiles.
The other half of the funds raised will be used to help my beloved Deeside Dragons Ice Hockey Club who earlier this season had to spend £2,000 to cover the cost of neckguards for all age groups that took to the ice under the Dragons moniker. The wearing of neckguards became mandatory after the horrific on ice death of Nottingham Panthers player Adam Johnson who was struck accidentally by a skate blade. The Dragons are a volunteer run not for profit organisation and they are such a valuable local organisation that mean the world to me and my son, 8 year old Charlie.
