20 great walkers walk Hadrian’s Wall for charity

Aim

20 of us are walking 84 miles of Hadrian's Wall in memory of Lydia. Help us get every walker to the finish line for her. 💛

Our daughter Lydia was born with a rare and complex heart defect. She died when she was just four years old.

In her short life, Lydia was cared for by the extraordinary team at Bristol Children's Hospital. Since losing her, we've raised funds in her memory — through Lydia's Star Tribute Fund, part of Wallace & Gromit's Grand Appeal, with one simple hope: that other cardiac children get their best chance at life.

This August, 20 of our family and friends are walking the full 84 miles of Hadrian's Wall coast to coast, over six days; in memory of Lydia, and to carry on her legacy of hope.

It's a real challenge: six days on foot, in all weathers, across the length of northern England. Every walker has given up their time and annual leave to be there, simply because Lydia mattered to them.

This is where you come in. Getting 20 people coast to coast takes somewhere to sleep, food to keep everyone going, and transport to and from the trail. Your support clears those obstacles, so every walker reaches the finish line, and the walk raises as much as possible for Lydia's fund.

Our promise: every pound you give powers the walk, and everything raised beyond its costs goes straight to Lydia's Star Tribute Fund and Bristol Children's Hospital. Whichever it does, it's for her.
