Aim

This prize draw is running to raise money for urgent and essential repairs to our radio ship 'Ross Revenge' in dry dock to secure her future

1712151889_badge.jpgThe Prize

Our prize draw is for an original and very rare Caroline Club car badge from the 1960s. The badge is made from metal and has an enamel emblem and is in very good used condition.

The Radio Caroline Club was launched in June 1964 to meet the growing demand from listeners for information about the station and its DJs. The club provided a way for fans of Radio Caroline to connect and stay informed about their favourite pirate radio station. Members were able to purchase a range of memorabilia, such as this car badge.

The badge measures approx 3 1/2 ins wide and 4 ins high, and weights 212g. The badge is fixed to the car with a metal bracket on the back which has three screw holes.

The Cause

‘Ross Revenge' is in urgent need of dry docking, where surveys and important maintenance can be carried out. Our prize draws will supplement our fundraising appeal to achieve our goal of securing the future of our historic ship for generations to come. The former pirate radio ship 'Ross Revenge' is still regularly broadcasting at sea today and more than 1,200 visitors tour the ship each year. The vessel is an important part of both deep sea fishing and broadcasting history. To lose her would be a tragedy.
