I am a 13 years old and live in Bodmin, Cornwall. I've always loved doing sport, triathlons are a great passion of mine and I won the Cornwall Tempus Tri series in 2015, I have also been a cross country county champion and have competed at several national and regional events. My down time is spent playing cricket, mountain biking, basketball, football and rugby, although in the last couple of months I have solely concentrated on my road cycling to get me in perfect condition to cycle across Australia.

The Challenge

Myself and my coach and mentor, Bob Brown who is an ex-endurance athlete, will be undertaking this massive challenge on the 27th Febuary 2017, we will be covering 2,784 miles are hoping to achieve this in 30 days. Bob has cycled Australia several times so I know I'm in good hands, my parents will be shadowing us in a motorhome and will act as our support crew. If this is achieved it will set a new World record for fastest crossing of Australia by a child on a bicycle. Will start the challenge just north of Sydney at a place called Foster, we will then head due East via Adelaide going through the Nullabor Plain and ending our journey in Perth. We will be contending with temperatures well into the 30's, massive road trains, ferocious winds and some inhospitable terrain.
My aim is to raise as much money as I can for two amazing charities. ROC is the Robert Owen Communties Charity which helps people with learning disabilities achieve independant lifestyles and the Cornwall Community Foundation that helps fund organisations that make a positive impact in their area.
I would also like to inspire youngsters to get active, spend less time on their phones and devices. There is a big World out there which needs to be explored.
"The motto of the ride is.. 'Don't limit your challenges.........challenge your limits'. I will be doing just that in Australia"

Why are we crowdfunding?
We need your help please to fund the project to help with the cost of the motorhome which will hold our food and water supplies and we also need spare bike equipment.. We are hoping to film the whole challenge so we can make a film to then inspire people that "anything" is possible, so we would like to use some Go-pro's to film the cycle.
I have been training for this challenge since early 2016 and in the last few months have been putting in 25 hours most weeks of cycling training, getting up every morning at 6 to train on my turbo before school and the putting in a few hours when I get home.....I was allowed Christmas day off though!
Please help me now to fulfill the challenge.
