1055 The Point Training Academy

Aim: We aim to work with those persons not in employment, education or training to develop their presentation and technical skills.

1055 The Point has been at the heart of the Milton Keynes community for over 10 years since being established as Secklow Sounds online before moving on to FM.

The station has always prided itself on allowing real people to have voices and develop themselves, from experienced community radio presenters, to first timers who can then use the station as a platform to launch a media career, we have supported dozens.

We now want to formalise this by starting the 1055 The Point Training Academy in 2024 and we need your help!

Please give what you can to ensure we can deliver this important work to inspire the next generation of presenters, journalists and technicians. 

To deliver the academy will cost £500 a month, so we are looking to raise an initial £6000 to cover the start up costs of the academy for a year.
