Situated on a private estate close to the Lake District. Hidden River Cabins pride themselves on creating the ultimate secluded log cabin holiday with breathtaking scenery and spectacular views. Set in a beautiful untouched corner of the Cumbrian countryside your time with them will provide a welcome break from the hurry of everyday life. Relax with family and friends in complete privacy. The cabins are a joy in the winter or the summer because of the luxury interiors.
Explore the miles of private river bank and hundreds of acres of ancient woodland. After a day, full of fresh air, relax by the log burner. You can count stars from the warmth of your private hot tub over-looking the river.
Most importantly, the luxury log cabins are spaced far apart from each other along the bank of the River Lyne, therefore creating ample privacy.
Situated 20 minutes from Carlisle, between the Lake District and Scotland.The log cabin’s are dog friendly. Take your four legged friend along with you because they will love their time there. There is masses of freedom in the surrounding woods. They might even take a dip in the river! The dog friendly cabins will make you feel at home and help relax with your dogs in the open plan cabins.

- Can select any lodge that sleeps up to 8 people.
- Prize cannot be used over Christmas/New Year period.
The Cause
Hidden River Cabins have kindly donated a one nights stay to support Kevin and Becca’s fundraising towards Poppys incredible heart fund.
Kevin and Becca got married at Hidden River Barn back in December 2023 along with staying in the cabins. They then had their daughter Poppy in July 2024.
Their journey so far:
Poppy Lambert who is 21 months from Cleator Moor, Cumbria has been in hospital since mid December 2025 along with parents, after being diagnosed with tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) prior to her birth.
The condition is a congenital heart defect which required operations to fix. She had a hole in her heart that was causing non oxygenated blood and oxygenated blood to mix, reducing her oxygen levels.
During her five weeks in hospital, Poppy came across a number of complications, undergoing multiple open heart surgery operations and even suffering a stroke due to the strain on her body.
The youngster got her Berlin Heart fitted mid January 2026 which is life support, this works to give Poppy time to see if her heart will perform itself, with doctors spending time monitoring how Poppy's heart is working alongside the machine.
Poppy had a tracheotomy fitted in early March 2026 to support her through her healing.
On 26th March 2026 Poppy went in for further open heart surgery, the plan was to explant (remove) the Berlin heart that was supporting the left side of the heart, repair her Tricuspid valve and replace her Pulmonary valve again. Unfortunately Kevin and Becca got the devastating news that they could not repair or replace Poppys Tricuspid valve. Poppy is now supported by a BiVAD (Berlin hearts for each side of the heart) as she waits for a full heart transplant. Kevin and Becca have been advised the wait could be up to 2 years but continue to support Poppy giving her the best quality of life until their special gift ‘a heart’ is bravely donated.
As Kevin and Becca have been in hospital 4 months along with running a home which is 2.5 hours away all proceeds from this draw will go to them both to support their financial needs towards bills, travel, hospital life etc.
We hope the money raised from this kind offer from Hidden River Cabins will take some financial burden away whilst parents are living through this traumatic time supporting their daughter.

We are Sharon and Jemma ‘Poppy’s Nanna & Auntie’ and ‘Kevin’s Step Mum & Sister’. We know Hidden River Cabins due to our family businesses Dreamy Decor Wedding Event Hire and Cumbria Classic Wedding Cars and have supplied at their venue many times. Hidden River Cabins have kindly donated this to support Poppy and her Mam and Dad so we decided to create this prize draw. To enter for free, participants must send their entry by post on a postcard or sealed envelope to the address specified by the promoter. Each postal entry must clearly include the entrant’s full name, postal address, email address (if applicable), and contact telephone number.

Terms & Conditions:
To enter this draw entrants must be 18+, UK residents only. Any entry’s made after 15/05/2026 23.59pm online and via post will not be included in the draw. Winner will be announced within 15 days of the draw closing via contacting the winner by phone. The winner will then be shared on social media (Instagram).
The money raised will go directly to Kevin & Becca Lambert to support their financial circumstances whilst their daughter is in Freemans Hospital.
