Who are we?
0161 Community are an organisation that promotes a strong, unified Mancunian working class identity – people of all backgrounds uniting to take control of their neighbourhoods. We seek to empower the unheard and provide youth with skills, guidance and confidence.
Community
When government fails, you will always find support in the people around you.
Mutual aid and solidarity are nothing new- they have, and always will, exist in communities across the world both in times of calm and in times of crisis. While some are seeing opportunities to make money or spread falsehoods for their own gain, most working people are seeking out ways to help others.
No matter how small a part of it you feel- each individual makes up a whole. You are valued. Do not forget. Together and united we are strong.
We continue to provide all we can for our communities, food, nappies, toys, clothes, whatever people need. Alongside free classes for the community, arts and graffiti classes, boxing and calisthenics classes.

Why are we crowdfunding?
We, like so many others are struggling to keep open and to continue providing for our communities. We want to create sustainable and long-lasting change for the people that live in our city and we need your support to be able to do that.
How we’ll spend the money raised
We'll be using the money to go towards the running of the community gym and arts space in these difficult times. We will use it provide a warm, welcome and open space for all people in our communities.
With the funds raised it will go towards helping mitigate the increased cost of energy we are seeing and providing more classes for those in need. To be open more hours and welcome in more people to our space.
