I'm running for GS because I believe we have a historic opportunity to transform UCU into a force for positive change in education.

My name is Jo Grady and I'm running for University and College Union (UCU) General Secretary in 2019. You can find out more about me and my campaign on Grady4GS.com. You can also follow me on Twitter @DrJoGrady or Facebook.

Local UCU branches usually pay for travel costs of candidates attending hustings. I am seeking funds for my campaign, such as:

• Printing flyers, posters, and other campaign materials
• Postage costs to distribute these campaign materials to UCU branches all around the UK
• Website domain subscription for Grady4GS.com (£48)
• Travel to engage with UCU members across the UK and across all sectors (HE, FE, Adult and Continuing Education, Prison Education), outside of formal hustings

Funds will only be used to cover travel and material costs for the campaign. None of the people involved in supporting or assisting with my campaign will be paid. In the event of funds being left over at the end of the election campaign, the remainder will be paid into the UCU Fighting Fund to support members involved in disputes, including the provision of strike pay where appropriate.
