Even though Upstairs at the Sydenham Centre is a small theatre space, our family theatre shows and shows for grown-ups, will benefit enormously from a set of four mini portable radio mics - the sort used in West End theatres. Especially during musical numbers in our family shows - where the cast are signing along to recorded backing tracks - so our audiences can hear every note and lyric as clearly as possible, radio mics will transform the way you hear our shows! Each high-quality microphone costs £249 each, and although expensive, these will last us for many years. Your donation will vastly improve the quality of our productions, so please give what you can. We strive to improve the facilities at Sydenham Centre, and in the future hope to add sound-proofing, padded seating, enhanced air-conditioning and better stage lighting. Our next family theatre show is Anansi the Spider: Jamaican Superhero! which starts on Sat 16 March and runs for five weekends until Sun 14 April (two shows every Sat & Sun at 2pm & 4pm). Following that we have a new play about exotic dancer and WW1 spy Mata Hari, running for 12 performances from the end of April to mid-May.
