Thanking Bow & Jacko | New flag for The Valley

Aim

Raise a few quid to help fund a 15ft x 7.5ft flag to be placed inside The Valley, paying tribute to Lee Bowyer and Johnnie Jackson.

Lee Bowyer and Johnnie Jackson have shown incredible loyalty to the club. 

Over their time in charge they've been overworked in a skeleton team, having to deal with austerity and limbo from Roland, a shambolic takeover by a bunch of crooks, a transfer embargo, a 14-man injury crisis, players going on strike, another shambolic takeover, another embargo, and a never ending circus that tied their hands behind their backs and relegated us to League One.

Having turned down good Championship jobs in the past, we all thought that Bowyer would be off after that fateful night at Leeds. But he's still there, working with Jacko and Gallen through another stressful summer, hoping to keep our club alive and fighting for the upcoming season. Servants and passionate 'Charlton men' like these don't come around too often, so I think we should show our thanks. 

I have designed the flag above which is now being made by respected flag manufacturer, Barmy Flags. It is 15ft x 7.5ft (4.5m x 2.3m) and costs £210 including design, rope ties, fires certs and VAT. I have put the fundraising target at £150 as I am happy to pay a little extra, but any small contributions from fans who think this is a good idea would be gratefully received. 

I have contacted the club who said they are happy to have the flag on display for the Doncaster home game on the 19th September, and hopefully beyond if there is space when fans start returning with social distance.
