"What's Nerdy?"
Nerdy Coffee Co. is a community-driven board game cafe and event venue in the heart of Shrewsbury, Shropshire. It was established in 2019 by Tom & Rachel Matthews and within 4 months of opening had amassed an incredible community of over 1000 members!
Nerdy has hundreds of modern and vintage board games, a retail shop, a private hire D&D room, wargaming tables and (pre-Covid) more events than you could shake a stick at! Quiz nights, game tournaments, Dungeons & Dragons nights and much much more!
But the thing that makes Nerdy really great is the people. Nerdy isn't just another shop on the high street. It's a movement. A shared understanding that playing together and social spaces are a necessity in today's world.
Moving forwards into an uncertain 2021, we're all going to need somewhere like Nerdy.
"If it's so great, why do you need help?"
There are actually two reasons we need your help right now. Firstly, it's the enforced closure by our government with minimal financial support, as unfortunately during this time, we are still required to pay rent.
Secondly, we have flooded for the 3rd time in 12 months. I know right?
All money pledged will go directly to carrying out the necessary work required to make any future flooding less likely and to help towards our ongoing rent payments.

Good news dear reader! We have partnered with some incredibly talented and generous members of our community to bring you some great rewards you can pledge for!
Or if you just want to pledge to enjoy that warm fuzzy feeling of helping an independent business in a time of crisis, that's cool too!
