We are bringing 1920's New York to 21st century Scotland...how on earth are we going to pull this off?!

Well let me tell you this, we have a committed creative team with great determination.

Our team already has preproduction under way, and all we need is your help to bring this story to life! This project is more than a student production, and as female film makers we want to bring you a genuine female protagonist along with producing a short film covering societal and political issues which are still relevant today.

Now, a bit more about the film itself, 'Little Miss Red' is a story about betrayal, violence, and organised crime...your perfect gangster film! However, we are taking a unique twist on this popular genre, and will be focusing on how women were represented within this time period.

Synopsis:

Young Redina Williams has already been through the worst life has to offer, and ever since her mother and little sister passed away in a tragic accident, her father has blamed her for it from that moment on. In search of a new life, she ventures out to New York City in hopes of following in her mother’s footsteps as a musician, although her past doesn’t stay back in Texas like she desperately hoped it would. While in New York, she meets Grace Vandeloure, a French chorus girl for Jiano Bianchi’s infamous speakeasy club. Grace takes Redina under her wing and they go on to share a special sister like bond, while Jiano’s manipulative tactics attempt to control them for his own criminal advantage.

On behalf of all the crew for this exciting project, we thank you for your time and we are extremely grateful for any donations.
