Lionman originally previewed at the greater manchester fringe festival in 2018. The show was self funded by company members Tom Hardman and Cameron Jones from weekend work as a drama teacher and a private care assistant. Since its last performance at the Lancashire Encounter Festival in 2018, Dapertutto have been trying to secure funding to develop the show properly having poured everything they could into it during its initial conception. Now over a year later we have managed to secure Development Funding from the Arts Council and we are almost at a stage where we are ready to enter our development period for a tour booked in for April 2020.
Dapertutto are an emerging company and so it can be diffcult to pay ourselves, but most importantly, we are commited to paying artists we are working with. With the help of your funding and the development fund from the arts council, we will be in a postiton for the first time in our time as a company to be able to pay the artists that we collborate with fairly and develop the show with the vision we have, not limited to the budget we have worked with previously from weekend work.
Thanks for any support you can give us! We really appreciate it
Tom and Cameron
