We need your help to raise £10,000 for Hyde Park Unity Day 2019.
Unity Day is Hyde Park Leeds’ flagship community event which celebrates all that our wonderfully diverse community has to offer.
First established in 1996 as a response to local riots, Hyde Park Unity Day has since become an annual event showcasing the talent and culture of our local community through the means of music, art, sport, dance, food and drink. Unity Day continues to play a key role in promoting community values and cohesion in Hyde Park.
Sadly certain grants that the event has relied upon are no longer available and so we need the help of our wonderful community to keep the event alive! We need to raise £10,000 to cover the costs of essential elements, including the provision of public toilets, St Johns Ambulance, safety fencing, marquees, power and insurance.
We have asked all our local businesses to get involved and they have donated a fantastic array of rewards for donations.
Prizes include anything from coffee and cake, hair & beauty vouchers, a trip to our iconic Hyde Park Picture House or a slap up meal at one of our lovely local restaurants.
All news and announcements for this year’s Unity Day can be found on on our social media feeds.
Thank you so much for helping to keep the Hyde Park Unity Day tradition alive.
