UnLtd are the proud beneficiary of The Entrepreneur Ship.
Guy Rigby & David Murray, are taking on The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge in December 2021, an ambitious attempt to set a new world record for the oldest pair to row any ocean. They will be fundraising for our charity, UnLtd so we can continue to fund and support social entrepreneurs - enterprising people with solutions that change our society for the better.
The funding will help us to provide grant funding, access to blended finance, and wraparound business support to social entrepreneurs to grow their impact. UnLtd’s work is particularly focused on helping those from marginalised backgrounds succeed, with 50% of our early stage funding committed to those identifying as Black, Asian or from a minority ethnic background, and to disabled entrepreneurs.
Social enterprises in the UK were critical during the COVID-19 pandemic, in particular those that combat loneliness and isolation and as we enter in post-pandemic recovery they will be vital for local communities to build back better.
Along with the ambitious challenge Guy & David have set themselves, they have also dedicated to an ambitious fundraising target of £750,000 and we want to help them achieve this.
On Tuesday 28 September, the UnLtd team will be taking on a sporting challenge to help fundraise for The Entrepreneur Ship. Rowing machines will be in our London & Bradford offices and together we will be rowing the distance from our Birmingham offices to our London offices, a total of 110 miles! Follow our challenge on our social media channels (links above).
Guy & David will also be taking on a 24 hour fitness challenge on this day so please get behind us all and donate where you can!
