THE GANNET NEED YOUR HELP
We took the hard decision to close the restaurant on Sunday evening. This was an incredibly difficult moment for us. We employ 23 people (full & part time), and with the risk of infection to our team and guests coupled with the drop in bookings and rise in cancellations we didn’t feel like we had a choice. We feel incredibly lucky the government are going to step in and help our team, we are going to continue to do what we can for those less fortunate.
Its time to do something positive for our community, especially over 70s in isolation, the financially vulnerable and people struggling. Community is extremely important at this unpredictable time.
We will be delivering emergency food parcels to as many households as possible through our partnership with YPF Possilpark and the Drumchapel food bank, at the moment we are planning a minimum of three drops next week, a little bit of context, this will be over 400 meals and that’s only a drop in the ocean.
We need your help to reach more vulnerable people.
Our network has been incredibly supportive - Braehead foods have donated a refrigerated van for delivering the food in a safe manner, Ardunan farm have gifted Produce, fresh direct have supplied us with dairy, fruit & veg and Rapscallion drinks have given raw soda.
I want to be clear that this money will only be used in the production and delivery of food for the community.
This community kitchen can have a wide reach and make a real difference with your help.
Will you join us?
