Help Old Sulians RFC raise funds needed to maintain and improve its facilities in the wake of Coronavirus
About us...

Old Sulians RFC is a grass roots community club in Bath providing the opportunity to learn, play and enjoy competitive rugby. We were founded in 1926 as an old boys team for City of Bath Boys School and have been based at our home on Lansdown since 1961. We firmly embrace the core values of the game and provide an inclusive, friendly environment where our players and members have forged countless life long friendships.

Why do we need your support?
With Coronavirus ending the
season prematurely and the lock down being in place since, we were forced to close and forgo the usual sponsors events and tour games. On top of this the usual summer hire to the community for birthdays, christening etc have sadly had to be cancelled, these are all vital funding opportunities for us.
It has also affected our friends at AFD football who have not been able to use the clubhouse.
As a very small club this has of course put pressure on our finances.
What are we going to do with the money?
There are the usual ongoing maintenance projects that need to be undertaken plus the additional safety measures required post Covid 19 to ensure the safe participation of visitors, supporters and players alike. If funds allow we are also looking to renew some essential training kit as it is over 15 years old and in a poor state.
Areas we would look to finance include:
Upgrade the hot water supply to the bar and kitchen
Renew all external doors to the club
Continue to update the changing rooms and showers
Ensure on-going maintenance of our pitch and ground
Help fund general on-going maintenance and costs of the clubhouse
Upgrade and increase number of tackle shields and rucking pads

Thank you in advance for reading, we appreciate this is a huge ask for our members and the wider community during these difficult times for individuals, families and companies.
We are of course extremely grateful to all those that can help out with the ongoing upkeep of the Su's.
