Scotland needs independence now more than ever. As we look towards the recovery from the Coronavirus we are faced with the prospect of having the economic decisions of Westminster imposed upon us. With independence the people of Scotland can choose how we recover from Coronavirus, not have Boris Johnson’s decisions imposed upon us.
We can choose to rid Scotland of weapons of mass destruction and instead invest in reducing the unacceptable levels of deprivation that exist in communities across the country.
Scotland can’t afford to wait years to be independent, we need to be independent as soon as possible so that we have all the powers we need to create the country we want.
If elected to the Scottish Parliament I’ll support instructing the Scottish Government to commence independence negotiations with the UK Government on week one.
For too long Scotland’s working class communities have not had a voice in our parliament that unashamedly demands more money and more investment to reduce the gap between the poorest and the richest in our society; a voice that will stand up for communities that for too long have not been listened to. That can change, now.
