Healthcare for Pearl

Aim

Fundraising for health care costs, so that Pearl can access the treatment she needs to live a full and happy life.

A friend close to my heart moved back to Zimbabwe from the UK with her husband and children during the pandemic amidst accessing healthcare on the NHS for their daughter Pearl.

Her mum has written a note explaining what they are fundraising for, as the healthcare where they live is not free, and they need to travel to South Africa for the specialist treatment they need.

Please join me in supporting this family I care about incredibly, to raise the funds they need.

All funds donated go straight to their bank account and for transparency, are personally sending me the receipts and prescriptions.

My 7 year old girl has been suffering from stomach cramps which i thought has been caused by a hennia that she has. For a long time and she kept on getting different kinds of infections and allegy reactions over and over but only getting antibiotic for them, ontop of that 2 different doctors have discovered irregular heart beat which the doctors adviced they are results of a birth defect, when her organs were forming up. She now has digestion problems; she reacts to most foods she eats, she is always fatigued, tired, heaches, dizzy all the time, just a small activity of runninng or walking she struggles breathing properly, now she has to go through scans and tests( ECO, ECG, eye test too ) in preparations for surgery on hennia and digestion issue and heart.

I have moved back home in zimbabwe where the health care system is not free, we have to pay for everything, doctors consultation, prescription and the medicine which is also quite expensive especially doing big diagnostics tests, scans and surgery.

I don’t  have a medical aid as i am self employed only people who work in the NGOs or government companies can be able to have the medical aid but still does not cover all but part of the bill.

I have had to sell some furniture and help from a friend inorder to get the first stage of taking my daughter to a private clinic,get her thoroughly examined by specialists getting a prescription, scans taken. This is because most government clinics i have been going to are not fully functional there is shortage of doctors, no medicine at the best of times. at times its just paracetamol hence for serious medical problems only private doctors and clinics which costs an arm and a leg are the ones functioning

Now i am asking and looking for help of medical funds to take my daughter for big heart tests, surgery and treatments so that she can live her life with no belly pain and be able to be active and play like other children, please do help us with whatever you can i would really be so thankfull because it will go a long way in getting my daughter the treatment she needs, My greatest appreciation for taking the time to hear my story
