A forest school for adults that does more…..www.GrowWild.Life
The detrimental effects of isolation on physical, mental and spiritual health have been clearly documented and further highlighted by the recent pandemic. Grow Wild offers a safe, fun and immersive experience in which individuals are able to reconnect with their physicality, the local community and with nature itself. Nature is a fantastic healer. We believe in giving back to the earth and helping it to heal in return. Working towards increased biodiversity in our local area, our therapeutic outreach programmes are tailored to support people with barriers in developing self confidence and practical skills, aiding their integration into our rapidly changing society and environment. Grow Wild are passionate about connection. We believe in togetherness.
We take part in lake/river clearance, beach combing, planting native plants and trees to improve biodiversity, habitat building and contributing to the local community gardens/parks/commons.
Activities also include rambling, cycling and other forms of exercise which boost cardiovascular and respiratory health as well as mental wellbeing.
Activities are designed to be therapeutic, breaking down the negative impacts of isolation and helping to build confident individuals with improved mental health and a developed practical skill set.
Clients will be picked up and dropped off by our transport that is fully equipped with the PPE and tools needed for activities.

How will we use the money?
We have clients who have started their journey on Grow Wild activities and the funds will go to running costs that include: Insurances, PPE, DBS checks and tools & equipment.
Our stretch target is for the purchase a 8 seater van that is reliable, has plenty of space to be accessible, carry tools, equipment and be as economical as possible.
This will Give Grow Wild's services the ability to reach more people, meet a wider range of needs and expand the amount of days we can offer.
