Aim

Help Mags and Scott stand as Scottish Green Party candidates in Fife at the snap General Election

The General Election on 12th December 2019 could be the most important Westminster vote for a generation. Scotland is being dragged out of the EU against our will, by a party that we didn't vote for, in the middle of a climate emergency. It's vital that Green voices are heard in the debate, and we have a platform for our bold vision of a radical, Green, Independent Scotland in Europe.

Fife Greens have selected two fantastic local candidates, but running for Westminster is expensive. Can you help us raise funds to stand two Scottish Green candidates at the upcoming General Election

Mags Hall has been selected to stand in the Dunfermline and West Fife constituency, whilst Scott Rutherford has been selected to fight for the Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath seat. Both candidates are proud to be representing their home constituencies, and understand the massive impact a #GreenNewDeal could have on Fife.

At a time when we need to be taking real, urgent action on the Climate Emergency, Westminster politics is tied up in knots over the destructive project of leaving the EU. Green voices are shaking up politics in Holyrood and in councils across Scotland - it's time they were heard in Westminster too.

The Scottish Greens aren't funded by wealthy business people or big trade unions - we rely on our members and supporters making thousands of small donations each year to keep our work going.

Standing for Westminster costs £500 per seat for the deposit. We want to stand in two and need to raise £1,000 for this.

If we exceed this, £250 will get us 10,000 campaign leaflets and help us get the Green message to every home in Dunfermline and West Fife, and in Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath.

And just £10 will help us get A-boards outside three polling places on election day.

A Green wave has spread across European politics in 2019 - that wave is growing in Scotland too, and we need to make sure people have the chance to vote for our distinctive Green politics at every single election.

Your donations can help achieve just that and get Mags and Scott on the General Election ballot paper, representing the Scottish Greens - #VoteGreen2019 !
