The Shed is part of a national initiative launched by Music Venue Trust to prevent the closure of hundreds of independent music venues.
Our venue faces closure because of the current crisis, as do many. As a grassroots music venue, we don't have cash reserves to fall back on in order to get us through long patches of not operating - and we need your help to make sure we get over that hurdle.
In 2017, the current team took over The Shed in order to stop it from being turned into a block of flats. We have worked tirelessly over the last three years to turn the place into a thriving hubs for musicians and creatives, and we're not about to let this hurdle stop us. But we need your help with this, and we can't do this without your kindness, love and generosity.
Your donations will be used to ensure that we can reopen our doors so the team all have jobs to go back to, the musicians have a stage to perform on, and for the wonderful community we have created can have a space to be themselves in.
If we hit our target, and we can prevent the closure of our venue, everything above the amount we need will be donated to the Music Venue Trust GMV Crisis Fund to protect other venues just like ours, right across the country.
