Buy beautiful things and help people out of homelessness. Great for your homes and ours.
Emmaus Bristol is losing £5,200 a week during lock-down.
Like all non-essential retailers, we have closed our charity shops during the Covid-19 lockdown.
But this means our charity is losing out on essential income that we use to help people out of homelessness.

Around half of Emmaus Bristol's income comes from the sale of donated pre-loved items and house clearances. Currently we are losing £5,200 a week in sales.
Helping people out of homelessness
This money is used to pay for essential support work for people who have experienced homelessness. It also allows us to provide a home to people with no recourse to public funds.

Our future
We have plans for the future which are threatened by Covid. There's a 3-bed house we were about to renovate, and plans for a roof-top development of move-on homes.
How you can help - Furnish your future (and ours)
We need you to help us by pledging for furniture and household goods, which you can redeem in our shops when we are open again. (Or if you don't need things, you can choose to make it a straight donation).
This will allow us to continue to support the 37 people we currently provide a home for, and to help us get fit for the future, so we can help many more people out of homelessness.
So much more than a shop
All of our social enterprises provide work experience, training and qualifications for companions.
“The routine and purpose of daily work is like ballast to a boat. My life is starting to stabilise which in turn means I can focus on steering in the direction I want to go.”
We also provide "pay what you can afford" furniture for people who need it.
“I am writing to say a very big THANK YOU for all your generous help last Tuesday in providing and delivering a bed to our Member who had been homeless and was moving into a Housing Association flat without ANY furniture!"
