Criteria

Providing Digital Boost female entrepreneurs with the means to fund their business ideas and learn the skills of entrepreneurialism on the way.

Eligibility:

To be eligible to apply, applicants must:

• Have participated in the Digital Boost programme;
• Identify as female;
• Be over 18 years old;
• Be UK based;
• Have a new business idea;
• Match funding is not open to employees of NatWest Group of companies, their families or anyone associated with this competition;
• You don’t have to be a NatWest Group customer to apply.

To be eligible to apply, the project must:

• Must be UK based;
• Must be either majority (50-100%) owned or controlled by women and/or woman-led (a woman must be responsible for the day-to-day decision making);
• Must have a target of at least £2,000;
• Must be a new trading activity i.e. not growing an existing business venture;
• Must launch within 4 weeks of notification of a successful application.

How it works

• Participants of the Digital Boost Begin Programme will be required to set up a crowdfunding project on Crowdfunder.
• Participants will apply for She Begins through their Crowdfunder dashboard
• Applications will be reviewed alongside project pages.

Pledge Criteria

If your application is approved, 'She Begins' will match the donations you receive while your campaign is live – in real time – up to a maximum of £1,000.

1. For every donation made to your campaign, 'She Begins' will match it £1 for £1, up to a maximum of £50 per individual donation.

2. Your project must receive pledges from at least 25 unique backers.

3. Only one donation per supporter will be matched.

4. Match funding counts towards your overall crowdfunding target

5. If your campaign does not reach 100% of its target before closing, the match funding will be withdrawn, and no funds will be paid out.
