Award Conditions

Version dated 14.05.2024

Movement Fund - Sport England’s Extra Funding Scheme.

Timescales

If your application is successful, you will be provided with:

- a letter detailing your award (or ‘pledge’) offer,
- a formal Award Agreement (with conditions of the award)
- paperwork that will need to be completed and returned to Sport England

There will be time frames indicated within your Award agreement, so please do take note of these.

Your campaign must also launch within 12 weeks of the date on your Award Agreement and will run for no longer than a maximum of 70 days (though Crowdfunder’s and our advice is to run a campaign for no longer than 4 to 5 weeks).

Please contact us as soon as possible if there are any issues with meeting these timeframes on [email protected]

Claiming your Award

Once your campaign successfully closes, Crowdfunder will notify us. If your initial target has been met, there are no issues identified with your campaign and you have complied with all conditions in your Award Agreement from us, we will then make the payment of our award. Please see here for full details on how the payment of our funding works.

Your award should be used for the specific purposes as set out in your Award Agreement from us and on your Crowdfunder campaign page. If you are unable to use the award for the purposes as agreed, please notify us as to how you intend to spend the award at [email protected]

You should maintain proper accounts for the funds received and we will ask you to provide evidence of how you have spent these funds as set out in the ‘Evaluation’ section below.

Evaluation

You will be required to report on the progress of your project. Please refer to our Movement Fund reporting requirements here, which we reference in your Award Agreement. This page explains why and when we will request this report, as well as what information you will need to provide.

You may also be asked to complete a short questionnaire about your project and crowdfunding experience, or asked to take part in a short interview about your experience which will help us to improve the Movement Fund for others. You agree for your contact details to be passed on by us for this purpose and to supply any information requested in a timely manner.

Branding and Recognition

The Project has been awarded Sport England funding provided by The National Lottery. We want to celebrate and commemorate your involvement in contributing to our work.

Sport England and The National Lottery brand toolkit provides advice on methods to use when promoting the award and which logo to use. We would also like you to:

- Reference our investment in your project in all press releases and media interviews, making reference to The National Lottery. If you would like to share any media coverage, please email it to [email protected].

- Display appropriate Sport England branding on all publicity material, including but not limited to websites, brochures, posters, flyers and stationery.

We may wish to use your campaign details and our award to form part of a case study that we will publish on our website to show good-practice and provide support to other organisations wishing to crowdfund as an alternative source of funding. We will discuss and agree the content with you. See here for our Movement Fund Privacy Statement.

Please follow Sport England’s branding guidelines if and when promoting your project. Full details, including access to our logo, brand toolkit and ordering of any signage can be found here.
