We aim to bring the original musical Enigma to Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2019, which follows the untold story of female codebreakers.

Enigma Theatre UK is a group of seven women who are graduates of University Centre Weston. We have written and composed the original musical Enigma and need your support to bring this untold story to Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2019.
We are performing at Nicholson Square, Fern Studio with Greenside Venues.

Based on true events, Enigma follows the forgotten story of 7 remarkable American women, who were recruited to be codebreakers during the Second World War.
Composed by: Hedda Rustad Carlsen
Orchestrated by: Lewis Carpenter
Synopsis
In 1942 after the attack on Pearl Harbour, over 10,000 women with outstanding skill sets were recruited to work for the American government. This enabled them to use their degrees in ways they never thought were possible.
Due to a vow of discretion, these women were nearly written out of history.
Based on historical fact, Enigma follows the lives of seven outstanding women throughout the highs and lows of their careers, and recognises how their efforts were a vital attribute to the end of WW2.
The Goal
We are bringing 8 people (7 performers and one amazing technician) to Edinburgh for 10 days and need to fund:
- Flights and transport: Approximately £1000
- Fringe Registration: £ 295
- Venue hire: £966
- Accommodation: between £1000-2000
- Insurance: Approximately £ 80-100
- Food costs if we raise enough funds.

This project successfully funded on 1st May 2019
