Elect Jonathan Elmer as GreenMP for City of Durham

Aim

I aim to get elected as first Green MP for the City of Durham, but elections are expensive and Durham Greens need to cover campaign costs

Greens have strong support across the City of Durham, and due to the rise of new political parties, its no longer the case that only Labour or Conservative can win. For the first time you can vote for who you actually believe in!

If elected my priorities will be: 

• campaign for remaining in Europe and a peoples vote
• halting the climate and ecological emergencies faced by the planet
• protecting the City of Durham from Labour's plans for a relief road and green belt development

I've already worked hard to challenge Labour's plans for the City and at this very moment I'm giving evidence at an 'Examination in Public' to ensure Labour instead focus on regeneration of the poorer communities across County Durham.

If elected I can do so much more for the people of Durham City but elections are expensive.  County Durham Greens have to cover the costs of all deposits, and other campaigning costs across all the constituencies we cover.  Greens don't get money from the UNIONS or from the private sector - all our money comes from our members and normal people making funding contributions.
